A beautiful table deserves even the smallest details. This antique Visnaud Limoges gravy boat from The Meuse pattern pairs delicate florals and gold detailing with an elegant attached underplate—a lovely piece of French porcelain made for gathering around the table.
The pattern was produced for Hess Brothers, the legendary Allentown, Pennsylvania department store known for its luxurious goods and wonderfully theatrical sense of style.
Perfect for gravy at Sunday lunch, a sauce alongside dinner or something warm and wonderful at the holiday table. And with a form this pretty, we think it deserves to be brought out far more often than Thanksgiving.
Measures approximately 6” wide x 3/4” long.
There is an area of paint on one end of the underplate that appears intentional to the decoration; please see the third photograph for detail. There are no chips or cracks, and the piece is in overall very good vintage condition.
