Flowers from the Garden

Sunflowers seem to belong to that lovely in-between—part late summer, part early fall. Their golden faces still hold the warmth of one season while ushering in the coziness of the next. I love them best like this: a simple bunch tucked into an old crock, a candle lit, the table set. Nothing elaborate or particularly arranged. Just flowers on the table and the feeling of autumn beginning to settle in.
