Vintage Silver-plate Round 3 Piece Serving Bowl Chafing Dish

This unique silver bowl has 3 pieces and most likely originally came with a stand it would sit in to serve as a chafing dish.The bottom piece would be filled with water and the inner (removable) bowl would hold the food that was being served. The lid helps to keep it warm while a candle in the stand would provide the heat. Generously sized, it measures an overall 16" from handle to handle. The inner bowl is 10" across and 3" deep. It would still function beautifully as a serving bowl for meals or even for potting bulbs to force indoors. There are light scratches and scuffs that are typical with vintage silver and varying levels of patina that could be polished up or left as perfectly imperfect as is. There is a small dent in the lip of the lid. It is in excellent overall condition.
