Vintage Original K. Mills Still Life Oil Painting | Ornate Gilt Frame

Small in scale but extraordinary in presence, this vintage original oil painting depicts a richly colored still life of fruit, signed K. Mills at the lower right. Clusters of green grapes, apples and other fruit emerge against a dark ground in a traditional composition with beautifully saturated color.

The painting is surrounded by an exceptionally substantial, deeply layered gilt frame that is every bit as striking as the artwork itself. Ornate carved and molded detailing, multiple stepped borders, and its remarkable depth give the piece an almost architectural quality. At nearly 11 pounds, this is a wonderfully substantial work with far more presence than the dimensions of the canvas might suggest.

The overall framed piece measures approximately 18” high x 20 1/2” wide x 4” deep and weighs just under 11 pounds. The visible canvas measures approximately 7 1/2” high x 9 1/2” wide.

Both painting and frame are in exceptional overall vintage condition.
