Details
This is one of those pieces that stopped us in our tracks. Made by C.T. Germany, this antique hand painted serving bowl features a bold floral design in beautiful shades of teal, rust, purple and pink, finished with scalloped edges and gold handles and accents. Those colors. THOSE COLORS.
The backstamp dates the piece to the late 19th century. Measuring approximately 12 1/2” long × 8 1/2” wide × 3” deep, it is a beautiful piece of antique German porcelain for serving, displaying or adding to a collected table.
The gold decoration shows considerable rubbing and fading, with additional light wear to portions of the floral design consistent with age. There are no chips or cracks. For a piece well over a century old, it remains in remarkably lovely condition.
