Vintage Homan Plate Nickel Silver Round Tray with Handles

This stunning and unique tray was made by Homan who produced silver wares from 1847 - 1941. Made of nickel silver, it has a decorative rim and handles that appear to tell a story set in Roman times. Measuring an overall 15" across from handle to handle, the inner serving surface is 10 1/2" across and 1" deep. There are the typical signs of age and prior use ~ scratches and scuffs across the surface and one spot that appears to have developed some verdigris (visible in 2nd photo). It sits flat and is in overall excellent condition.
