Vintage Gwathmey Siegel for Swid Powell American Airlines Salad Plate

This vintage American Airlines salad/dessert plate was designed by Gwathmey Siegel, an architectural firm founded in NYC in 1968 for Swid Powell a New York based tableware firm that was founded in 1982. These plates were launched in July of 1990 for First Class passengers traveling on American Airlines. Measuring 7 1/2" across, they feature a stunning navy band design.
