This set of 4 rimmed soup bowls were manufactured in Trenton, NJ by Mercer Potteries who claimed to be the first company in America to create semi-porcelain ware. Mercer was organized in 1868 and dissolved by 1930. Featuring a cherry blossom design in pink and gray with a gold rim, each bowl measures an overall 9" round. The inner bowl is 6" round and 1" deep and the rim is 1 1/4" wide. There are varying levels of crazing, discoloration and rubbing to the gold rims of each bowl and the photos include surface pictures of each individual bowl. One bowl has a small flea bite on the rim that is visible in the photo. They are in overall good condition with no additional chips or cracks.
