Classic French Limoges oval serving platter made by Theodore Haviland for Burley & Company Chicago. 

Burley & Co had a few iterations throughout its history and was an importer and retailer in Chicago from 1838 - 1923. The company officially came to be called Burley & Company in 1883. In 1907 they merged the import business and retail business. In 1923 the company was sold to Albert Pick & Co. 

Theodore Haviland was a prolific designed of Limoges china and the mark on this piece dates its manufacturing to 1903.

The platter measures 11 1/2" long x 8" wide. It features pink roses and a blue/green laurel garland design. It has no chips or cracks and is in excellent condition.
