A beautiful piece of antique tableware with a little Chicago history! These elegant porcelain soup bowls were made in Austria by Moritz Zdekauer (MZ) for the celebrated Marshall Field & Co. department store in Chicago.
Featuring a delicate floral garland in soft pink and green, accented by fine gold trim, each bowl brings a timeless sense of elegance to the table. The graceful shape and romantic decoration make these lovely for serving soups, small salads, or favorite family recipes.
The MZ Austria backstamp is associated with the late 19th and early 20th centuries, approximately 1884–1909, making these bowls a charming example of antique European porcelain once sold through one of America’s most iconic department stores.
Beautiful paired with other antique china or incorporated into an eclectic collection of vintage dinnerware.
