Vintage Edwin Knowles Vitreous China Serving Platter

With an eye catching floral rim in soft yellow, blue with pops of rust colored orange , this rectangular platter was manufactured in Chester, West VA by the Edwin Knowles company. Founded in 1900 by the son of one of the founders of Knowles, Taylor and Knowles Co, and with a reputation for producing the highest quality semi vitreous ware, Edwin Knowles company was in operation until 1962. Measuring 15" long and 11" wide this platter is a fine example of that craftsmanship. There is some crazing and discoloration on the surface and gentle rubbing on the gold edges, otherwise it has no chips or cracks and is in very good condition for it's age.
