Made in England by WH Grindley and featuring The Leather Bottle Inn from Charles Dicken Pickwick Papers, this charming village transferware is as timeless as Dickens writings. This oval platter measures 12" long x 10" wide and has visible crazing on both sides. There are no chips or cracks, it is in excellent overall condition.
Autumn in the Country
It was cold and crisp outside; the kind of fall evening where your heaviest knit sweater is barely warm enough in the shade but just right in the hazy glow of the fading sun. Woolen blankets stood at the ready to provide additional warmth and candles were lit so that the hazy glow would remain once the sun had set.
