Details

This charming platter had us at hello with its brown finish and turquoise accents but we were sold when we flipped it over and saw that it is marked Booger Hollow Arkansas. Booger Hollow was a tourist attraction in Pope County Arkansas that closed in the early 2000's after over 40 years in business. A "town of 7 including one coon dog", it had a diner, gift shop (where this platter was most likely sold) and a double decker outhouse that provided photo ops for tourists.
This heavy weighted platter measures 11" long and 8 3/4" wide and is a great piece of memorabilia as well as a functional and beautiful serving piece. There is one small chip on the edge of the surface but otherwise there are no other chips or cracks and it is in very good condition.
