This darling hand painted tureen stole our hearts with its charming design and homespun colors. Hand made in 1983 and marked CP, the tureen measures an overall 11 1/2" long x 7 1/2" high. The inner part of the tureen is 7 3/4" long x 5" wide x 5" deep. The platter is 16 1/4" long x 12" wide and has a chip on the edge. There are no other chips or cracks on either piece. They are in overall excellent condition.
Autumn in the Country
It was cold and crisp outside; the kind of fall evening where your heaviest knit sweater is barely warm enough in the shade but just right in the hazy glow of the fading sun. Woolen blankets stood at the ready to provide additional warmth and candles were lit so that the hazy glow would remain once the sun had set.
