This set of 5 vintage salad/dessert plates were manufactured by Bauscher Weiden in Bavaria Germany for Pan Am Airlines. Made for serving First Class passengers, each classic white plate was designed with a simple gold band. Measuring a generous 8 1/2" round, these rare finds are fabulous piece of airline history. Pan Am was in business from 1927 - 1991. One plate has a few discolored spots on the gold banding but otherwise they have no utensil marks, chips or cracks and appear to never have been used. They are in excellent condition.
