This pretty pattern produced by Royal Staffordshire in the early 20th century is a replica of pottery that had been produced by the Meigh family of potters in Hanley Stoke on Trent. When they closed their pottery Old Hall Works in 1902, Royal Staffordshire purchased the plates & continued production of this pattern. The 1795 is a reference to the Meigh family. This salad plate lends itself to mixing and matching with other patterns or even as a beautiful wall plate. It measures 8" across the surface and does have visible crazing. It has no chips or cracks and is in excellent overall condition.

Sweet Romance of Spring

We cling to the promise of rebirth; it is the hope that guides us through the long winter months. Signs of new life begin to appear almost timidly; as if the flora and fauna were checking to see if the world was indeed a safe place to come into. And once they determine it is ~ the whole world comes alive in an instant.
