Pretty two handle serving basket made by Peterboro; the oldest basket making company in the United States. Founded in 1854 in Peterborough, NH, this basket has navy woven through the sides and leather handles. It measures 19" long x 12 1/2" wide and 4" deep. It is in excellent condition.

Autumn in the Country

It was cold and crisp outside; the kind of fall evening where your heaviest knit sweater is barely warm enough in the shade but just right in the hazy glow of the fading sun. Woolen blankets stood at the ready to provide additional warmth and candles were lit so that the hazy glow would remain once the sun had set.
