This remarkable Copeland Spode dinner plate measures 9 3/4" across. The pattern has been difficult to identify and this piece was manufactured to be retailed by T.Goode & Co in London. It was made in September of 1912. There are very light utensil marks on the surface and no chips or cracks. It is in excellent condition.
Autumn in the Country
It was cold and crisp outside; the kind of fall evening where your heaviest knit sweater is barely warm enough in the shade but just right in the hazy glow of the fading sun. Woolen blankets stood at the ready to provide additional warmth and candles were lit so that the hazy glow would remain once the sun had set.
