Nothing makes me happier than wrapping up the weekend with a house that’s squeaky clean and ready to face a new week. Unfortunately, Frankie the farm dog doesn’t agree. Sometimes researching the history of the items I find is just as exciting as finding them. I love learning the history of the potteries and manufacturing dates of patterns. I just added these Royal Doulton Tonkin plates to the shop and learned that they manufactured this classic Indian Tree pattern from 1975-1992. Quite a few companies did the Indian Tree but the weight and feel of these plates are quite exceptional which is pretty impressive for such a long run. Know what else will be impressive? Seeing me load 30 bales of hay this morning. We have our last load of winter hay pick up scheduled and my son ended up having to work. This means my husband gets my muscle power instead. 😂 But help is help so he can’t complain, right? And did I mention it should only be like 100 degrees out again so there’s that too. 😱 Send well wishes, prayers and ear plugs please (so I can’t hear him yelling at me) and probably some back & body medication too. Y’all, we are halfway through September and it is still so hot here in Tennessee. Hot like high 90’s everyday and frankly, I am over it. Just added these gorgeous amber wine glasses to the shop and Lord knows I could use one filled to the rim right about now. All week I’ve mentally been a day ahead of myself so when I woke up this morning at first I thought it was Friday.
